With every pregnancy comes a flood of questions. We are here to help answer them. Below are a few questions people often ask us.
I think I might be pregnant and need to talk to someone. Do I need an appointment?
If you want to take a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant, then yes, you need an appointment. We also will take walk-ins if we have an opening and someone is available to see you. If you just want to talk to someone, you can call or come by our Center. Someone will be happy to listen to your concerns.
What kind of help do you offer?
We offer a variety of free and confidential services, including pregnancy testing, educational classes, benevolence, assistance in may areas and community referrals.
Will you give me a referral to an abortion clinic?
No. We are pro-life and do not refer for abortion.
Who provides counseling at the Pregnancy Help Center?
Our staff and client advocates are here to listen to your concerns and help you make informed decisions about your particular situation. Each client advocate and staff person has received extensive training and preparation to help you through this situation.
Will my family/boyfriend be notified about the results of my appointment?
No. Your visit is completely confidential. No information of your visit is released without your written consent. All records are kept confidential to the extent allowed by law. The PHC is required by law to report cases of sexual/physical abuse of a minor.
What kind of support can I expect if I choose to terminate my pregnancy after my visit or if I have already had an abortion?
We will still receive you unconditionally, regardless of your decision. Post-Abortion Recovery is offered through the PHC for anyone associated with an abortion experience.
What kind of support can I expect if I choose to continue my pregnancy?
You will have the opportunity to attend H.O.P.E. classes, receive practical assistance, and referrals to other community resources.
What if I choose to place my baby for adoption?
The PHC can give you a list of licensed adoption agencies to look over. Agencies offer different services, so you would have to call the ones that interest you to see if you are compatible.
